Plenty of updates

When I said a few months ago that updates would take a little longer than before with my new job, I wasn't kidding! I know there was some updating to do with the website, and now I'm happy to say that I'm all caught up. Let me detail the changes.

First, I'm pleased to present to you the new Calgary Flames' alternate uniform:

You'll notice that the helmet looks a little different. That's because I decided to include the numbers on the front of it (which has been mandated by the NHL starting with the 2011-12 season). To coincide with that, I decided to redraw the helmets from the 2011-12 season on to more closely resemble current designs. I also added the NHL shield logo onto all helmets starting with the 1999-2000 season (the logo is visible from the angle which I drew the helmets).

I have also added the throwback jersey that the Ducks wore last month to honor their 20th season in the NHL. Speaking of throwback jerseys, we're expecting several special jerseys to be worn in the Heritage Classic and the Stadium Series. I'll add those when they're unveiled.

Lastly, I added the retirement of Pavel Bure's and Adam Foote's numbers by the Vancouver Canucks and Colorado Avalanche, respectively. Later this season, the Stars will retire Mike Modano's number -- that will be added once that happens.
