Ottawa Senators alternate uniforms unveiled (well, sort of)
This post could also be subtitled Job opening at Reebok. Apparently, someone at Reebok dropped the ball and shipped the new alternate uniforms of the Ottawa Senators and Toronto Maple Leafs to the Buffalo Sabres' team store at the First Niagra Center, and the store is already selling the jerseys. Normally, it is the policy of The Hockey Uniform Database not to display any uniforms that have not been officially unveiled. However, the Senators issued a press release confirming that the jerseys the Sabres' team store is selling is, indeed, their new alternate uniform. (You can read the press release here.) Therefore, I am displaying my rendition of it below. As of the writing of this blog post, the Maple Leafs have yet to acknowledge their leaked alternate uniform, so I am holding off on putting it on the site.
While I have your undivided attention, I'll answer a question I'm frequently asked this time of year. As I always do, I will put up the new season page on the first night of the regular season. This year, that day is October 6th.
