On the Bruins' new road jerseys, the names were originally in the same pattern as the numbers, with a gap between the black letter and the gold outline. That lasted six games. By the beginning of November, the gap was gone and the name took on a bolder appearance -- presumably since the original appeared a little too thin to make out from the upper deck.
