Philadelphia Flyers
1st place, Patrick Division lost division semifinals
The Flyers wore a "31" on their left shoulders following the November 11, 1985, death of Vezina Trophy winning goalie Pelle Lindbergh. His blood-alcohol level was two and a half times the legal limit when he crashed his Porsche at a high rate of speed into the wall of a Somerdale, New Jersey, elementary school building.
