Tampa Bay Lightning 2011-12, Take 2

A few weeks after the Lightning introduce their new branding and neew uniforms for the 2011-12 season, the team introduced slight modifications. By popular demand, the Lightning restored the lightning bolt on the sides of the pants, and they added black as a trim color. Personally, I'm comfortable either way with black or no black -- but in my opinion, it looks very goofy having the lightning bolt on the pants outlined in black but not the lightning bolt in the logo. Plus, the black on the numbers and pants bolt is so subtle, fans will likely hardly be able to tell the difference. In my opinion, if the Lightning are going to feature black as a trim color, it should have done so more prominently. Also, the team announced that, despite no longer fitting with the new branding, it's keeping the "BOLTS" alternate jerseys (with an as-yet introduced redesigned shoulder patch). I believe with the wholesale rebranding, it was time to retire them.
