The Hurricanes wore their Whalers throwback uniforms three times this season -- both games against the Colorado Avalanche (who wore their Quebec Nordiques heritage uniforms for those games for a true turn-back-the-clock atmosphere) and January 29th against the Mammoth, who were around only in animal form when the Whalers last played in the NHL.
