   The Washington Capitals wore special patches to commemorate their 40th NHL season. They also hosted the 2015 Winter Classic at Nationals Park on New Year's Day, during which they wore wearing special uniforms. The Capitals won, 3-2, with Troy Brouwer scoring the game-winning power play goal with 13 seconds remaining in regulation. |
