After his wife remarked about how much she liked how the Bruins put a logo on the shoulders, Seymour Knox had jerseys made for the playoffs by the Bruins' manufacturer, Stall & Dean. Let's just say they didn't quite get it right the first time. The shoulder logos were nowhere to be found and the rear number was placed too high, pushing the mandatory nameplate into the shoulder yoke trim. Most importantly, Stall & Dean got the color pattern on the tail stripes on the white home jersey wrong -- it matched the color pattern of the sleeve stripes when it should have reversed it. All those errors were fixed in time for the 1978-79 regular season.
