1934-35 Heading towards bankruptcy, the Ottawa Senators packed their bags and moved to St. Louis to become the Eagles. The move was done despite the NHL's concern over travel costs (commercial air travel had yet to take off, no pun intended), with teams having to travel from one city to another by train at that time.
