Winnipeg Jets

1979-80
The Winnipeg Jets redesigned their uniforms when they entered the NHL from the WHA. Do you see a striking resemblance to the uniforms worn by the New York Rangers from 1976-78? That's no coincidence -- they were both designed in part by John Ferguson, who served as general manager for both teams.

1980-90
The striping pattern on the socks change.

1990-96
The team introduces redesigned uniforms in 1990, featuring a new GOALS FOR KIDS patch on the left shoulder.

2011-17
In making their return to the NHL, the Jets wanted to pay homage to the Canadian military, and their new logo is designed after the roundel of the Royal Canadian Air Force.

2017-18
The Jets carried over the design they'd had since returning to the NHL over to the new Adidas Adizero uniform system.

2018-21
The Jets' first alternate uniform establishes new traditions while paying tribute to the city's NHL roots.

2021-present
The uniform that the Jets wore in the 2019 Heritage Classic becomes their new alternate uniform, replacing the one featuring an Aviator Blue jersey.

2016 Heritage Classic
The Jets wore darkened replicas of their WHA uniform as they hosted the Oilers in the Heritage Classic on October 23, 2016. The Jets lost, 3-0.

2019 Heritage Classic
In a matchup of two franchises with roots in Atlanta, the Jets beat the Flames, 2-1, in Regina, Saskatchewan. The Jets wore blue versions of their previous heritage uniform.

2021 Reverse Retro
The Jets resurreected their 1979-90 uniform, using their current color palette and a dark gray base.

2022-23 Reverse Retro
The Jets resurreected their 1990-96 white uniform, coloring it in the team's current palette.

2023-24 RCAF Centennial
The Jets mark the Royal Canadian Air Force's Centennial with special uniforms nicknamed "The Forty-Eight" inspired by the 1948 RCAF Flyers.
