Philadelphia Quakers

1930-31
The Pittsburgh Pirates (not to be confused with the Major League Baseball team of the same name) moved to Philadelphia after five seasons in the steel city. The team was renamed the Quakers, after the nickname of the religious sect that founded the City of Brotherly Love. After "achieving" a record of 4-36-4, the team suspended operations amid the Great Depression and ultimately folded on May 7, 1936.
