1925-28
The NHL's Pittsburgh Pirates wore black and gold years before MLB's Pirates did.


1928-29
The Pirates re-did their uniforms for the 1928-29 season. According to pittsburghhockey.net, the Pirates ditched black for what they called "Harding blue," a shade of light blue that appealed to former First Lady Florence Harding.


1929-30
The Pirates wore black and orange during their final season in the Steel City.
